Supporting all talents
Ambition grandes écoles
In France, access to prestigious grandes écoles, such as the ENS Paris-Saclay, is mainly possible through Preparatory Classes to Grandes Écoles (CPGE)*. To promote greater social diversity and accessibility, as well as to diversify the social makeup of our future student body, it is essential to support and guide highschoolers early in their schooling.
Objectives
- Supporting students in scientific preparatory classes in high schools from the area of Paris-Saclay and the Academy of Créteil, all year long, throughout their preparation for nationwide competitive exams by giving them the necessary tools for their success and their acceptance into the School.
- In so doing, attracting new talents and diversifying our student body.
Programme features
Young students have access to:
- Tutoring/mentoring sessions all year long with our students and/or alumni; each tutor/mentor individually follows a CPGE student for the whole year;
- Work sessions on campus (visiting hours, work hours dedicated to preparing for specific tests in the competitive exams - english, Supervised Personal Initiative Work, etc., as well as discussions with our students);
- 3 general webinars (methods, stress management, public speaking);
- Financial support for any exam fees for all non-bursary beneficiaries**;
- A 1,000€ grant for some students with limited financial capabilities in order for them to focus on their studies.
“By daring to challenge the low expectations people had for me, by dreaming of a better future for myself, I realised that barriers are more often mental than real. Daring to dream bigger opens many doors.”
