About

Effects

Thanks to your generosity, we change the lives of young people by broadening their horizons, showing them the path to science and supporting their success. By thinking differently, wider and further ahead, we take on large-scale and long-term transformations, fitting for research. Discover what we have already achieved, and the work we have yet to do together.

Tiny Researchers Village

Since 2023, 540 schoolchildren from REP+ schools (in Grigny, Trappes and Corbeil Essonne), have taken part in our pedagogical workshops organized for the yearly national Science Celebration. REP+ establishments are found in isolated districts and areas, where a significant concentration of socio-economic difficulties strongly impede on academic success.

Eco-friendly Academic Mobility Aid

In 2024, 50 students benefited from financial aid during their internship or year of pre-PhD studies abroad. This aid was delivered upon request for eco-friendly modes of transportation (train, boat, bicycle).

Scholarships

Since 2020, 29 students have benefited from 12 to 24-months scholarships, such as a scholarship for AI Master’s Degrees, a Women in Science scholarship, scholarship for pre-PhD studies, either in France  or abroad (MODALI scholarship).

Science Fair

Every year since 2023, the School holds a Science Fair in November. 60 middle-schoolers from La Norville Middle School took part in the 2023 fair. The young students presented a project on which they worked, on future cities or on cryptography.

Tomorrow, thanks to you, we will be able to empower our students to reveal themselves. Your donations allow every talent to write their own story.
Let’s act together !

Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV)

Since 2022, our students have benefited from a yearly anti-SGBV training. A more complete training for students and staff was inaugurated in 2024.

“Tell me about research” Summer School

Every year since 2021, 12 to 15 high-schoolers are chaperoned by PhD students during a week-long immersion period in our labs. The goal of this initiative is to allow young people to study a research topic, to have first-hand experience of research work, and to think about their future projects of higher education.

Women in Math and Computer Science Meet-Up

Every year since 2022, 20 to 30 high-school-aged girls take part in a week-end-long scientific immersion program organised by women students in our Math and Computer Science departments.

Breastfeeding and Resting Rooms

Since 2022, students and staff alike have access to a resting and breastfeeding room at the health and wellbeing space in the School (East wing, ground floor).

Women in Physics Meet-Up

Every year since 2024, 20 to 25 high-school-aged girls take part in a week-end-long scientific immersion program organised by women students in our Physics department.

Schoolchildren Sponsoring

In 2022, a new sponsorship program was inaugurated at the Neuveries school in Gif-sur-Yvette. Two women in our student body sponsored two 4th/5th grade classes in a program focused on discovering the microscopic world.
