A symphony of tradition and modernity

The night took off with an artistic performance highlighting agility and balance in dance. This art, a perfect symbol of the ENS Paris-Saclay’s mission, combines tradition and modernity, academic rigor and creativity. The School strives to shine as a beacon of academic excellence, combining uniqueness and a collective spirit.

The Scène de Recherche: a place of unique confluence

School president Nathalie Carrasco first paid homage to her predecessor, Pierre-Paul Zalio, lauding his role in the creation of the Scène de recherche. Not only is this iconic place an avant-garde cultural space, it is also a bridge between artistic and scientific communities. Its audience grew throughout its recent seasons, its attendance doubling in the last trimester. It now offers special opportunities for private partners to treat their employees with a special experience.

An ecosystem of excellency

Ever since its founding in 1912, the ENS Paris-Saclay has striven to adapt to the needs of society. Today, it is part of the Paris-Saclay University, a unique academic ecosystem in France, where it stands as a multidisciplinary scientific hotbed. Research, the heart of its mission, is improved by interaction between diverse disciplines, from engineering to social sciences, allowing for significant breakthroughs in key fields such as artificial intelligence, quantum technologies, urban ecology and public health.

Supporting young talent and promoting diversity

Our many outreach programs for the youth continue to grow. In 2023, the School intensified its pedagogical activities, opening its doors to hundreds of young students from elementary, middle and high school, to let them take part in scientific workshops and events. These programs aim at fostering curiosity and the involvement of young students in science. The ENS Paris-Saclay is particularly committed to promoting diversity and inclusion, namely by supporting women in science with dedicated scholarship and a network of women scientists ready to inspire future generations of researchers.

Commitment to sustainable growth

Our commitment to sustainable growth is at the heart of the School’s strategy. The IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) recently settled on campus, facilitating discussion with researchers and students. Meanwhile, an environment committee and an Act+ Fund will be created shortly, supporting environmentally responsible initiatives.

A look to the future

The ENS Paris-Saclay started the year 2024 with a renewed motivation. Ever-faithful to its values of academic excellence, leadership and commitment to social causes, it will keep pushing the boundaries of knowledge and inspiring future generations. Together with its partners and scientific community, the School is committed to helping create a better world and to take on future challenges. Join us in this human and scientific adventure at the service of society.
