To celebrate the Fête de la Science, the ENS Paris-Saclay will be welcoming 140 school children from the towns of Trappes, Grigny, and Évry. The young participants will explore the fascinating world of research through a series of interactive workshops organized by researchers and PhD students.
For instance, the children will be conducting a scientific investigation, will discover the secrets of marine viruses, and experiment with light phenomena. Each workshop is designed to spark their young curiosity and introduce these researchers in the making to the fields of chemistry, biology, computer science, and so much more!
This event is supported by the ENGIE Fondation, and fits right in the ENS Paris-Saclay’s mission to raise awareness of scientific domains among school children. Reaching them early on can spark a real passion for science.
Last year, we were amazed by the kids and their curiosity. We are delighted to renew this programe. Nathalie Carrasco, president of the School.
On top of all the activities planned for the day, the school children and the chaperones were invited to discover the entirety of the installations prepared for the Fête de la Science on the Saclay plateau, which will be there for the whole weekend.
